Brigade Group History

Brigade started as a 5-person team in 1986 and set out to conquer the real estate market.

• Brigade Regency, Bangalore's first CRISIL-rated property, was completed in 1996.
• Brigade Homestead: In 2000, the Brigade introduced the concept of serviced houses to Bangalore, marking their entry into the hotel industry.
• Brigade Regency: Bengaluru's first project to get a CRISIL rating. It also become one of the first developers to be ISO 9001 Certified.
• The first mixed-use community in Bangalore was Brigade Millennium in 2002.
• Brigade went public in 2007 after a successful initial public offering (IPO).
• 2011 marks the launch of Brigade Orchards, a 135-acre smart township.
• The World Trade Center, a 32-story skyscraper, is the tallest commercial structure in South India. It was completed in 2012.
• It surpassed the Rs. 1,000 crores turnover threshold in 2015.
• They launched the Brigade online customer portal in 2015
• 2016 saw the development of over 30 million square feet in seven South Indian towns.
• In 2021, we recorded the highest-ever yearly sales in FY 2020-21.

M.R. Jaishankar is the founder and commanding general of the Brigade Group. Jaishankar, the founder of the Indian Music Experience (IME) and Brigade Foundation, has been a lifelong trustee.
